victim of doctors' mistakesFrom: marthas3outof11@yahoo.com (Trynt) spinal cord injury resulting in Brown Se guard Syndrome was misdiagnosed as a neuropathy called CIDP. I must tell you that if you are a diabetic be careful because neuropathy is a condition they love to assign to diabetics. Brown Se guard is a condition that causes the injured side of your body to go almost or in some case a state of paralysis and also causes muscle mass loss. To the other side you loose pain sensation and also you can no longer feel temperature. There was proof(MRI) reports that told both neurologists that there was budging, reversal of the spinal canal and many other factors. Despite there reports either doctor did anything. By the time I myself found an orthopedic surgeon he had to remove C3-C7 of my cervical spine and replace it with titanium. I constantly feel uncomfortable, like I am dragging one of my legs. I cannot open one of my hands. Because 1 side has lost muscle mass it is now hard to buy clothes. Even though their own medical charts and records are compelling I am still going through the very stressful steps of a malpractice suit. It is time consuming, a lot of paper work(that hurts and is uncomfortable)and very, very frustrating. The lawyers that represent these doctors is mean, ruthless, and lacks compassion. I do have a wonderful lawyer though. The worst thing is I have 2 kids. One of who which is ADHD and has ED. Some encouraging words could really help. -- Message posted using More information at
