what's happening and/or what's new? How goes the battle?
I am checking in every day because I care about you. You're alone and
need someone to listen, well, here I am. J
Hi Folks
I'm still here. On year 5 of Colo/Rec Stg-IV. Sofar this year, 49 rad
treatments, completed 2nd round of chemo in Feb. Finally convinced the
insurance company that having a CT to justify having a PET/ct was wrong
and I have one coming up this week. Pain of last rad treatment are
starting to kick in. Arg!
One the plus side, I feel very good! I'm able to work 30->40 hours. Walk
two or three hilly miles most days. Kind-a got hit on by a 24yo! (I'm 49)
Was pretty funny when she found out my age and that the bulge in the
front of my pants was REALLY from my ostomy bag.
Humor is still very intact. As the Dr said, take the pain meds when you
need them and you can still be a contributing factor to society. Never
counted on the factor being it's entertainment. :-)
Good news on getting the insurance folks to see reason. Do you use
the scan trailer by Simms? I keep trying to get them to schedule me
there, but they keep sending me to Littleton, where my onc is,
instead.
I keep meaning to get together with you for coffee or something, if
not for a ride. I've been very bad lately, riding motorcycles (just
bought a second) instead of bicycles. Would you be up for a ride
Saturday? I figure if I agree to a time now, I won't back out or find
excuses.
