For my dissertation, I am conducting a study on male and female victims of dating violence in both heterosexual and same- hug relationships among college students under the supervision of my faculty chair, Matthew Geyer, PsyD.  My dissertation research was inspired by the lack of research among male victims of dating violence and the need to create an awareness that men in dating relationships also experience acts of dating violence by their partner.  This study was approved by the Walden University IRB board (Approval # 05-19-08-0283304). Currently, I am in need of male participants in both heterosexual and same- hug relationships who are aged 18-25 years old, attend college or a university, are in or have been in a dating relationship, and have experienced at least one incident of physical, psychological, and/or loving abuse or violence to complete my study.  However, women in heterosexual or same- hug dating relationships who meet these criteria are also welcome to participate.
