no I really don't think so.

Liberal isn't necessarily synonymous with far left.
I think Obama is perceived by some as liberal but by others as far left as in too far left to properly be called a liberal

some are calling his bitterness comment from this week downright communist on account of his apparent disdain fori religion (even though in previous weeks he had asserted an inspiration towards Wright's flavor of christianity which if all you know if him was the one media clip, surely sounded like a let's turn red traitors and give the Us to trotsky speech according to many conservatives)

if the post favored obama some would say it was displaying  a far left sensibility, rather than merely a liberal stance.

This is a guess:  Clinton is generally perceived as a "centrist" whereas Obama is considered more liberal than she.
