Or is there some immaterial "I"? Evolution doesn't require the
kind of
thinking we do and the kind of morality we (some) practice.
In fact, evolution tends to be oriented more to the Pictures of Animals">animals than to
humans. Survival and continuation of the gene pool. Things like
family
protection, neighborly love, sharing of food, and many more don't
meet
the evolutionary criteria which is material in essence.
I'm not so sure those things are not evolutionary. Isn't cooperation
and love shack">harmony beneficial to the survival of the species as a while?
I'd argue that self-preservation, as in dog-eat-dog survival of the
fittest, is the most rudimentary stage of evolution. I would think a
fully evolved species would recognize that working together for the
common good would ultimately be the most beneficial course of action
in terms of preserving the species. I think that can be demonstrated
in the the behavior of some of the higher-intelligence mammals like
apes and dolphins.
Kind of humorous in a way, the way humans think things to death.
Most of
nature moves seamlessly in a world that combines common good,
(socialization) with eat or be eaten.
Maybe what you think is only what most of nature, after much thinking,
thinks about you.
Thank you Bhagwan, is there no end to your capacity to enlighten?
Thank you, Karl Heinrich. Your delusions notwithstanding, I've
abandoned searching for the capacity to start
Please wise and mysterious Bhagwan, disregard the many grasshoppers at
your doorstep and teach me. Show /me/ the magical way to stop, err...,
search for the capacity to stop er...., not start, er.....
hug off Frank - you and Johnny are merely kicking the tyres of what you lack the substance to afford!
