such is my plight. i knew a woman at an old job years ago. we parted
ways vocationally long ago. since she has an odd first name, i found
easily the other day an online album of her wedding photos. she was
someone in whom i had an interest, someone else who fled my arms for
another man.

i have seen many women in whom i had invested some hope go the other
direction. it never ends.
