The exact mechanism or cause of the development of type 2 diabetes, poly cystic ovarian syndrome and atherosclerosis is not yet known. There are two lines of research shows that 1.  Chronic positive caloric balance 2.  Stress of the modern living  are reported to be involved. But how these two such chronic positive caloric balance in the presence of chronic stressful living is not known. the following article discuss the role of possible simultaneous effect of fat and cortisol in the development of these diseases.
