A friend (well, his son in conjunction) has done that but without the car being driven off. He lent me his rope for when I was on the roof, but I removed a slate from inside, and lashed a scaffold pole between the trusses t tie te rope to. When working lower I tied it to the newel post on the stairs, and posted the rope out the window. I expected complaints from occupants tripping over the rope and descending the stairs rather quickly, but all was quiet. Freind above is assisting next week to erect my 'bird table' so I can get on wit the rest. I'll have to get the rest of the fascia/soffit done at the back before I get moaned a t for the grass underneath it in the back lawn dying off. All has been quiet on the avian front the last few days, the weather hasn't been the best for early morning flying.
