Re: More ideas for PrunellaFrom: marrowjam@[snip}blueyonder.co.uk (Lydia Dustbin) "®óñ© © ²°¹°" <ron@spamall.com> wrote in message news:fr4q76hjlk0hdjogcjd9s3ejc5eaek2lhd@4ax.com... <glum> They look lovely, but alas, I see they even warn how heavy they are. I have discovered that a drop-down oven door means I have to stand further away and bend over to lift... It may sound like whining but I assure you.... One doesn;t think of these things when purring over a nice new oven in a catalogue. Like the counter tops which are about 2" higher than before. WONDERFUL! No back-ache using the sink - and anyone who lectures or pedantifies about deportment will be treated with cold indifference - ANYway. I discovered that when using my nice tall ex-Kenwood Chef mixing bowl to maul heck out of dough on Sunday, I couldn;t reach up high enough to get my paws into the bowl. Cor blimey. Still, I use the sink a jolly sight more than I make sticky dough. (I stood on tip-toe). Also anyone saying knead it on the flat will be ignored. That came later. (I am getting a bit fed up of being constantly told I am wrong, you know. Why can't I just have a moan and them that don't like it ignore my posts? I ignore the ones I disagree with.) I will have to look for a lighter oven pot. Enamel, or something, like the German ones I have still got but are very tatty. Being German isn;t important, just that they were given to me by a German lady, thirty-five years ago - or so. They have flowers on, rather like the painted flowers on barges. 8) Subtle, they are not. LdB
