Sitting on his tractor, and the bullet hit his pancreas and lodged in his chest? How does a bullet have an *upward* trajectory after traveling over a mile? (or even 100 yards?) I like the last sentence in the article, "We checked; a .22-caliber projectile can travel approximately one mile in a straight line." That's some good investigatin' right there. If it was a .22LR, it would have to have been fired up at a pretty steep angle to travel that far, about 30 degrees, and it would have very little energy left. A .223 is more likely, but even then Domin would have had to be standing on his head on the tractor, not seated. Not trying to excuse shooting over the top of the berm, but I think the shot came from the nearby wooded lot, or his wife shot hit with a .22 pistol.
